Hello, my name is Adam Fales, and I am a PhD candidate at the University of Chicago, where I study nineteenth-century US literature, with a focus on the history of the law, race, gender, and sexuality. For a number of years, I was an editor at Chicago Review. I am currently a residential fellow at the Franke Institute for the Humanities.
